My 14-year relationship had some Uranus connections:-his Venus sextile my Uranus
-his Uranus sextile my Sun
-his Uranus sextile my Mercury
-his Uranus square my Moon
-his Uranus square my Saturn
Natally, I have Venus square Uranus and he has Venus sextile Uranus.
It was a complicated relatoinship, with both of us needing a lot of freedom, but (me especially) also being very attached. We're both unconventional and needed lots of stimulation, travel, variety, new people and new things.
I have a lot of "push me/pull you" energy in my chart romantically, with that Venus-Uranus square. I get deeply attached to people but also push them away. I've often had a reputation as a heartbreaker, but lately I feel brokenhearted.
I noticed, reading a website, that Angelina Jolie has Venus in Cancer, square Uranus, like I do. I see why she has a tattoo that quotes the playwright Tennessee Williams, "A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages."
Tennessee Williams ALSO had Venus square Uranus, of course...he had lots of tragic affairs, but found a longterm partner to commit to, and they had a loyal relationship. Wheh his partner died, he went off the rails with terrible depression.
I think for people with a natal Venus-Uranus square, falling in love feels extra-intense and extra painful, because there is all this Uranian energy pulling us away from those deep Venus feelings. "Beware!" it says, "You'll get trapped and turn weak. Protect your freedom!" In a perverse way, that makes us MORE rather than less attached.
However unconventional and free-spirited Angelina Jolie is (and she is very weird, right?!), she loves deeply and painfully. Tennessee Williams was the same.
